Learn the short vowel marks that tell you how to pronounce each letter.

Short vowels change meaning. This lesson names the marks you already see in the mushaf.

What you will be able to do

• Read basic CV syllables with fathah, kasrah, and dammah.
• Differentiate short vowels from madd (long vowels).
• Stop correctly on sukoon without adding unintended vowels.
