Angels, simply

Islamic Studies · Early Years · The School

Allah made angels too

Allah made people. Allah made animals. Allah also made ANGELS. Angels are not people. They are not animals either. They are their own kind of thing, made by Allah, with their own job to do.

Always obeying

Angels always obey Allah. Always. They never get tired. They never choose not to. People sometimes choose not to obey. Angels never do. That is one big gap between angels and us, right from the start.

We cannot usually see them

We cannot usually see angels with our eyes. We do not draw angels in this app. Allah has told us some things about how they look. We know about them because Allah tells us, not because we have seen one with our own eyes.

Here is an imagined story about tidy-up time. You are building a block tower. Mum says, "Blocks away, please." You stop and pick up each block. You put them all in the box. Now the floor is clear. Mum says thank you. There are two steps. First, Mum asks. Next, you do it. The Quran says angels do what Allah commands them (16:50). So the steps are the same. First, Allah commands. Next, the angels do it. Look at the pattern again. First, someone asks. Next, the job is done.
