Being kind and sharing

Kindness is worship too
Being kind is not an extra thing that good children do. It is part of being Muslim. The Prophet ﷺ said a smile is a charity. That is in Tirmidhi 1956 (sahih, al-Albani). So a smile counts. So does helping. So does sharing. So does moving something out of the way. Then nobody trips on it.
Sharing today
Find one thing to share today. A toy. A snack. A turn. Now look at the other person's face when you share. That feeling is the one the Prophet ﷺ taught us to look for. We do not share because we have to. We share because it is good.
Kind words
When someone is sad, sit with them. Say something kind. It helps more than we think. Are you okay? That is enough. Muslims are asked to speak good words. If we cannot, we stay silent. So if the words would hurt, we keep them in.
EASY: sharing your snack with your best friend. That is nice. And it costs you almost nothing. HARDER: sharing with someone you do not really like. Or with someone who was unkind to you yesterday. That is the one the Prophet ﷺ was known for. He stayed gentle with people who threw things at him. Try the harder one once this week. Then notice how it feels. It feels different from the easy one.
