InshaAllah and MashaAllah

A word for the future
InshaAllah means "if Allah wills". Say it about something that has not happened yet. "We will go to the park tomorrow, InshaAllah." Only Allah knows for sure what will happen, even for tomorrow, or the day after that.
A word for something good, right now
MashaAllah means "what Allah has willed". Say it when you see something good, right now. A new baby. A pretty flower. A kind thing someone did. It shows you are glad for them, and not jealous at all, right in that very moment.
Not mixed up
InshaAllah looks ahead, to something not yet done. MashaAllah looks at something happening right now, in front of you. Say the wrong one at the wrong time, and it can sound a little odd, even to a young child, once you know the rule.
Picture two moments in one day. Morning: you plan to visit a friend later on. Say "InshaAllah". The visit has not happened yet. Only Allah knows for sure it will. Afternoon: you arrive. Your friend has a lovely new puppy. Say "MashaAllah". You are looking at something good, right now, in front of you. Same day. Two different moments. Two different words. One looks ahead. One looks at now.
